Sexual Harassment Policy

As an institution of higher learning committed to providing the most constructive atmosphere possible for academic and personal advancement, Nichols College is particularly concerned about conduct commonly described as sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is unlawful and will not be tolerated by the college. Further, the college will act promptly to eliminate the harassment and impose such corrective action as necessary, including disciplinary action if appropriate. Informal mechanisms for resolving sexual harassment complaints may be used when the parties agree to do so. If the outcome is not satisfactory, the student may end the informal process at any time and begin the formal stage of the complaint resolution process. Complaints may be made orally or in writing to the Director of Residence Life and Judicial Affairs, the Director of Health Services, or the Dean of Students. The policies and procedures contained in the 2015-2016 Nichols College Catalog will remain in effect until June 30, 2016. Nichols College reserves the right to change at any time the rules governing admission, tuition, fees, courses, the granting of degrees, or any other regulations affecting the campus community. Such changes are to take effect whenever college officials deem necessary.
