Biography

In addition to teaching, Dr. Berard serves as an interfaith clergyperson, officiating at weddings, christenings, and memorial services. He is also a poet and essayist.

Berard teaches the following classes:

  • Expository Writing
  • World Literature
  • World Religions
  • Biblical Literature
  • Philosophy

Research interests: Eastern approach to Western education; meditation as a teaching and learning tool; and the Jewishness of Jesus and of Christianity.

  • Author, The Retreatants
  • Co-founder and co-editor of Soul-Lit, an on-line journal of spiritual poetry

Hobbies, Activities, etc.

In his spare time, he enjoys studying the Torah, travelling, playing the guitar, writing, journaling, and going to the theater.
